Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie has announced Karl Rutledge, a partner in the firm’s Las Vegas office and chair of the firm’s gaming industry practice, has been elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Gaming Law Section for the Nevada State Bar.

Rutledge’s gaming business experience includes working with established and emerging Internet gaming companies on risk analysis and creative business structuring, advising companies that run sweepstakes and contests, advocating on his clients’ behalf with governmental agencies, and drafting website privacy policies and terms and conditions of use for companies.
He is a frequent speaker and author on gaming-related topics, with an emphasis on internet gaming, sweepstakes and promotions. He also teaches a course on Gaming Industry Regulation in the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Rutledge received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law and his B.A. from Montana State University.
